Jim Davenport joined the Houston office as Lead Partner for Non-Profit, Higher Education, and Engineering. Jim is also active in the Transit and Life Sciences sectors. Jim has successfully completed over 150 searches in his 9 year executive search consulting career. He brings over 35 years of experience working with clients across a broad spectrum of industries and disciplines to help them reach their goals and business objectives. Jim has successfully completed searches at the CEO, COO, CIO, CFO, and Provost levels, as well as officer and director level searches in the functional areas of marketing, facilities management, finance, accounting, systems, transportation, logistics, distribution and security.
Before joining Allen Austin, Jim was Vice President with a Litchfield & Willis, a generalist retained search firm in Houston, TX . Prior to entering the world of executive search consulting, Jim founded a medical device company.
Jim has been actively involved in the community having served as President and Board Member of the Christian Community Services Center; President of United Methodist Men and a Member of the Board of Stewards of his church; and, President of the Dad’s Club at St. Agnes Academy.
